PURE MAGIC

Is there a way to measure magic?  I don't know, really.  But the concept of a magic-ometer was something that came to me when I was developing this set and one of the first ideas I *had* to execute once I got the prototype into my hands.

I love it.  LOVE it.  LOVE IT!!!

The images were all stamped with black pigment ink onto watercolor paper and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

After watercoloring the images, I die cut them all out, and die cut more of the same shapes from 110# Neenah to stack and glue them together, turning them into thick,  "faux chipboard" embellishments.

It's hard to tell in the pic, but I applied Stickles Glitter Glue kinda heavily on the right side of the rainbow, and then spread it out towards the left using a piece of scrap card stock as kind of a squeegee; it became thinner on the left as I did that, which I actually really liked so I didn't mess with it afterwards.

Glued on some micro clear white (they're iridescent so they reflect rainbow-ish) star sequins by HAI Supply and then sat on my hands; I think it was a good call. LOL!

SHELL-A-BRATE YOUR INNER MERMAID

Hope your day is going swimmingly! *wink*

All the images for this design were heat embossed with clear embossing powder over black pigment ink (my favorite method for avoiding stray embossing speckles) onto watercolor paper and then colored with the Gansai Tambi watercolors.

This is a super simple window card; the opening is 2" in diameter, so if you have a punch that size, you could use that instead of a die.

Die cut the window, and stamp the inside of the card to peek through; die cut the mermaid and shells and pop those onto the card base with foam tape.

Accent with Stickles Glitter Glues and make some 3D glittery bubbles with the NUVO glitter drops (that stuff rocks!!!)

The end.

Totally random tidbit:  My Gram turns 100 this weekend.  How crazy cool is that???!!!  If my 5 yr. old granddaughter will hold still (kid moves at the speed of light, I tell ya'!), we're goin' for a 5 generation photo!

UNICORN SCRATCH-OFF

Soooooo, I bet you thought those stripey looking things in the Unicorns & Rainbows Stamp Set were clouds.  They can be.  But, in my head, they were groovy hills of grass. 😆

Does that surprise you?

And, I just had to use some Scratch-off stickers I've been hoarding.  Love.those.things.  They come in a lot of different sizes (I listed them in the supplies if you're looking for one in particular); the 1 x 2"* was perfect for this project.

This rainbow washi tape by HAI Supply makes me giddy because of its gorgeous watercolor look!  Makes it so easy to secure a shiny new penny inside the card and it totally coordinates with the card! *fist pump*

I know a penny is just a penny, but there is something about a shiny copper penny that looks so much more special than any other coin to me...

Raise your hand if you shine up your pennies with a baking soda and vinegar bath like me... LOL!
