Modern, clean AND easy to reproduce? Yes, please! Stamp flowers in a pretty mid-tone pink, white emboss greeting onto scraps of card stock that look pretty together, trim and pop them up onto the card front. •BOOM•

NOTE: I will say this photo is a tad deceptive—I really had a hard time shooting it without overexposing it—I had to slip a quarter sheet of that deep pink (actually more of a deep pink red color) underneath it for more contrast. In reality, that color of paper is a tad more pink and not quite as deep as the photo shows.

Anyhoo, I was so stoked over how this turned out, I bet it would look awesome in a variety of color combos—time to dive into the scrap bin! (wink)

Have a fab day!

Halloween is the Mister’s birthday so we have a lotta fun this time of year—I had so much fun illustrating the characters in this set! I’ll be sharing some adorable treat packaging ideas soon, as well! And, did you happen to see the sneak peek from this webisode of Hello, Monday on YouTube??? Another fun version using the very same stamp set, very same layout and similar color scheme.

So! What do you think of Bear’s new companion? Li’l Bear is down at the pumpkin patch today with Dad, but has sooooo much more to do as the holidays approach… (wink) . Big Bear (the original) is from All Inside.

How ‘bout dem Pom poms? Santa and Snow dude have been taking selfies and needed a cute garland to dress up the Polaroid frame. Soooooo cute!!!

We've got super fun prizes!!! One random & lucky commenter will win $25 to the EH shop and one will win the whole August Essentials by Ellen release!!! To enter for a chance to win, make sure to leave comments at each stop along the hop! Comment before Thursday, August 15th at 11:59pm PST. Winners will be notified by email.

Hope you found these ideas inspiring and be sure to check out all our designers’ fab creations!

My latest stamps & dies collection for Ellen Hutson LLC is now available! You can see the full monty on the release page here: JUNE ESSENTIALS BY ELLEN

On this project the images were stamped (onto watercolor paper) with Versafine Golden Meadow (a surprisingly effective alternative to stamping in black, when watercoloring nature/foliage images) and watercolored by pressing waterbased ink pads (listed in supplies at the bottom of the post) against my Water Media Mat and then loading my water brush with color from there to paint.

After everything was dry, I lightly/sparingly spattered black acrylic paint over top. Speech bubble is attached to a mini action wobble so it boings around when you flick it. •chortle•

This particular collection is so me—and I mean SO, SO ME!!!

  • Always wanted a moped; now I got one (well, close enough, BAH HA HAAAAAA!!!).

  • I adore the smell of citrus—look at all that sassy, lemony goodness!!!

  • And I’ve had this idea for the skyline die of my dreams and finally got the chance to make it real! •fist pump•

  • While we’re on the subject of a stamp set truly reflecting “me” . . . I’m keepin’ it real with this one.

I’ve been frantically making samples but haven’t had a chance to shoot ‘em yet; I recently returned from Japan, welcoming a new grand-baby/ helping my daughter’s family. Anyhoo, I’ll share more projects with the release over the coming days as I catch up on work!

Thanks for stopping by and, if you haven’t yet, be sure to visit the Ellen Hutson blog to see some pretty freakin’ fantastic inspiration shared by our team members— trust me, you will not be disappointed; those gals are ON FIRE!!!
